What can I expect from counseling?
Counseling promotes self growth and change by allowing you to express your feelings in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere. Through exploring what's happening in your life and patterns of behavior you've learned from your family, you can identify what's keeping you from solving your problems. Additionally, counseling provides a chance to develop a therapeutic relationship that helps you voice your perspective and feel validated. This helps build self-esteem and confidence. I help clients look at what is going on in new ways, and to identify and achieve goals.

Counseling is hard work and can bring up emotions that are painful. You may go into counseling thinking you'll deal with one thing, but another comes up. That’s OK. You may not always be aware of what's bothering you until you allow yourself to open up. Counseling allows you to do so in a supportive way.

"Always remember: you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and
smarter than you think."
